Programs and Services

NAM’s holistic healing curriculum is adapted into several programs tailored to a client or family member’s life situation and stability.

These programs are listed below:

  • NAM Residential Treatment Program is a licensed residential addiction treatment initiative that provides low-cost housing for individuals struggling with addiction, focusing on those who are marginalized. It is a 6-week inpatient healing journey designed around the Recovery Diamond, which supports healing in four areas: biological, psychological, social, and spiritual. You'll receive individual and group therapy, coaching, breathwork, journaling, and live in a supportive recovery home with yogic vegetarian meals. Every part of the program helps strengthen your connection to yourself, others, and your Higher Power. Covered by Alberta Healthcare, NAM offers a safe, whole-person path to lasting recovery. We use an evidence-based therapeutic community paradigm, where a nurturing environment helps clients re-establish healthy recovery and living habits. We assist in treating the “whole person” socially, psychologically, mentally and spiritually. This method involves teaching residents to learn that recovery is a process. It involves learning to live comfortably and enjoyably as a productive and responsible member of the community. This practice is healing the person as a whole through learning to work, develop personal relationships, strengthening family ties, practicing engaging in positive life activities and developing spiritually while maintaining recovery.

  • It is a flexible, daytime healing option based on NAM’s Recovery Diamond approach. Ideal for those who don’t need full-time residential care, PRP offers individualized coaching, group support, and access to powerful tools like breathwork, journaling, and tapping while you live at home. You’ll build strength in your body, mind, relationships, and spiritual connection, all while practicing recovery in real life. Healing happens at your pace, with support every step of the way. This is a supervised drop-in day program designed for individuals struggling with crisis or difficultly attending appointments. Those enrolled in this program create schedules with their availability in mind and participate in programming that strengthens their self-practice. Clients learn stress/craving mitigating techniques (i.e., flash walking, trauma tapping, etc.) which gradually allow them to become self-reliant and in charge of their recovery. Clients also have daily interaction with the clinic’s personnel for check-in and treatment.

    PRP 1 Punjabi program: Every Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

    PRP 1 English: Every Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

PRP 2 Day Program: Monday to Friday for 6 weeks, with weekends and holidays off

    PRP 2 Thursday short day: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

  • An innovative program designed to educate family and friends of someone who suffers from addiction. Addiction affects the whole family support system, and the support for this condition is best undertaken by the whole family. Often family members do not know what their role is or are frustrated by the actions of their loved one. The program teaches families/friends how to function as a therapeutic community of being for their loved ones. This holistic approach often accelerates healing and promotes sustained recovery in the long run.

  • Every Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

  • Most of the appointments at NAM are covered by your Alberta Health Care number, and patients will not be charged for appointments or services. There may be additional charges to corporate clients not covered by Alberta Health Services please inquire at time of intake. NAM Niwas cost including room, food, and utilities is covered & funded- the only minimal cost is $50 as admin fees for program supplies such as binder, papers, book etc. and $100 as a refundable security deposit for inpatient clients.
