Position: Volunteer Board Member
Organization Overview:
NAM Recovery is a growing nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming addiction and mental health care delivery. Our services include medically supervised inpatient (residential) treatment and outpatient treatment programs. As a registered charity, we're implementing an innovative service model to reshape how care is provided in these critical fields.
Position Summary:
We are seeking passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors who are committed to strengthening nonprofit leadership and governance. Board members will provide strategic guidance and oversight while supporting the organization's mission and long-term goals. We provide a nurturing environment where both new and seasoned board members are welcomed.
Areas of Expertise Sought:
Human Resources background
Business Leadership experience
Real Estate Development professional knowledge
Legal expertise
Fund Development skills
Key Responsibilities:
Attend monthly board meetings (virtual or in-person)
Serve on one or more board subcommittees and actively contribute
Review board materials before meetings and engage in meaningful discussions
Help fulfill the board's fiduciary responsibilities
Support NAM in any way possible, including leveraging personal and professional networks to further NAM’s objectives, supporting through personal contributions, or other ways of supporting.
Represent NAM Recovery in the community and advocate for its mission
Time Commitment:
2-4 hours monthly
Board terms last for at least 1 year and are renewable

About Our Board:
The NAM Recovery Board currently includes professionals from Medical, Accounting and Health Services professionals. We have an active Fund Development subcommittee and an Audit and Finance subcommittee.
