Holistic Mental Health Treatment

Mental health problems can manifest in many ways. Life can become very unmanageable when the mind is unwell. There are a variety of classification schemes for mental health conditions, and the precise diagnostic criteria of these syndromes are complex. Often times, a single individual can meet criteria for multiple disorders at the same time, together with elements of addictive thinking or disorders.

These can include:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Insomnia

  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or Impulsivity

  • Bipolar Disorder

  • Suicidiality and other self harm behaviours (parasuicidiality)

  • Personality Disorders (such as borderline, antisocial, dependent and others)

  • Impulse Control Disorders

  • Eating Disorders

Before adequate treatment can occur, the diagnoses must first be ascertained. For example, sometimes depression can be a primary diagnosis. But it can also be a symptom of addiction. Without proper diagnoses, the treatment becomes less effective. We ascertain this during our intake and early appointments.
